Best: Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss (not kidding)

Prozac Nation is so private and personal. It evoked a sense of familiarity. It was the first book I had read that I really felt could represent me.

To Kill a Mockingbird is brilliant. It is effective and wonderfully written. The subject matter is a bit horrifying because of the fact that it is based on the attitudes of people of that time period, which is part of what makes it so brilliant.

The Cat in the Hat is timeless. It's just amazing that such a book could inspire the imaginations of children everywhere for quite a while.

Things I would have named if they were books: any play by Shakespeare, most anything by Edgar Allan Poe (I know he wrote a novel, but I haven't read that particular piece), the "Epic of Gilgamesh"

Worst: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and The Call of the Wild by Jack London

A Christmas Carol is supposedly one of the best things ever written. I found it dreadfully boring and a waste of time. Dickens droned on about things and it was just absolutely the most overrated thing I have ever read.

The Giver is actually well-written, but it was just too unusual and pointed for my taste. It was clear that Lowry was trying to show a certain point of view and I thought that she kind of overdid the whole "let's make a point thing".

The Call of the Wild was just annoying. It was long and arduous.

Monday I took my laptop from assistance. They adjusted it but, when I tried to reinstall all my programs, problems don't stop... the last one is that, from a copule of day, while I'm surfing the web, a windows open with advertisement of any kind, nothing porn or strange but I don't understand where they come from and, so, how can I stop it! It's something very annoying! The only thing that I have to try to understand where all this started is a symbol than I have never seen before so, sure that it's somthing silly, I'm here to ask you if you have ever seen it. The symbol is this:



and this is an example of ads. The ads change everytime from shoes, dresses, children ecc but the only thing that keep remain the same is that symbol. This is driving me totally crazy so, if someone can help me would be really appreciate! Thanks!
